How do I set up my mailbox?
If you are calling from your office extension
- Dial 550 from your office extension.
- When prompted for your security code, enter your extension number followed by "#." If this doesn't work, or if you do not have a dedicated office phone, skip to "If you are calling from a phone other than your office Ext.," below.
- A voice prompt will walk you through the steps required. If you stop midway through the process, the Voicemail system will pick up where you left off the next time you sign in. Mailbox setup should take no more than 5 minutes.
If you are calling from a number other than your office extension
- Dial 550 from any school phone.
- When prompted for a security code, enter 555#
- You will be told that your security code is invalid and asked to enter your mailbox #.
- Enter your extension number, followed by #.
- Enter your security code, followed by #. Remember that your initial security code is the same as your extension number.
- A voice prompt will walk you through the steps required. If you stop midway through the process, the Voicemail system will pick up where you left off the next time you sign in. Mailbox setup should take no more than 5 minutes.
If you are calling from a non-SC phone
- Ask to be transferred (if a human answers) to your own extension or dial it from the auto-attendant.
- Press * when you hear the greeting
- You will be asked for your mailbox #
- Enter your extension number, followed by #.
- Enter your security code, followed by #. Remember that your initial security code is the same as your extension number.
- A voice prompt will walk you through the steps required. If you stop midway through the process, the Voicemail system will pick up where you left off the next time you sign in. Mailbox setup should take no more than 5 minutes.
