Adding your Formative to Portal

In order to share your Formative with your students, you'll need to create an assignment on Portal first. Please follow these steps:

  1. Create your Formative on the GoFormative site
  2. From GoFormative, click "Assign," select the class(es) you want, and click the assign button

  3. Open Portal and create an assignment as you normally would

  4. Under "Learning Tools" select GoFormative and paste the link you sent under launch URL

Once you do this, you can direct students to the Assignment section of Portal. When they click on the assignment details, they will see a link to start the Formative.

If your GoFormative is configured incorrectly, the "Launch" link will not appear to students. This is an indication that you probably need to go back and ensure you followed all of the steps correctly.
