Sign In to the YouTube app
To sign into the YouTube app
iPhone/iPad/Android
- Open the YouTube app
- Click the silhouette in the upper-right corner
- Click Sign-In
- To use an account already on the device, select it from the list, or
- To add a new account, select "Add Account"
- Click Continue to be redirected to the Google sign-in page
- Follow the instructions to sign in to your GMail account
- You are done!
Apple TV
- Open the YouTube app
- Click Settings
- Click Sign in
- You will be presented with a code. From any web browser, Go to youtube.com/activate and enter the code from your AppleTV
- Sign in to the Gmail (YouTube) account you would like to use on your TV
- Click “Allow” to give your AppleTV permission to access your Gmail account. You will receive a security alert from Gmail that a device has been given access to your account.
- You are done!
Chromecast
- Open the YouTube app
- Click "Sign In" from the sidebar on the left
- Select "Sign In" again

Recommended: Select "Sign In with a web browser"
- Write down the code that appears
- From any web browser, go to youtube.com/activate and enter the code
- Sign in to the GMail (YouTube) account you would like to use on your TV
- Click “Allow” to give your AppleTV permission to access your Gmail account. You will receive a security alert from Gmail that a device has been given access to your account.
- You are done! OR

Not as easy: Select "Sign in on TV" to enter your Gmail address and password using the TV's on-screen keyboard
Roku
- Open the YouTube app
- Click "Sign In" from the sidebar on the left
- Click "Sign In" again
- If you are signed in to the Youtube app on your Smartphone or tablet, and it is on the same WiFi network as your Roku , YouTube should automatically sign you in
- You are done! OR
- Click "Try another way"
- Write down the code that appears
- From any web browser, go to youtube.com/activate and enter the code
- Sign in to the GMail (YouTube) account you would like to use on your TV
- Click “Allow” to give your AppleTV permission to access your Gmail account. You will receive a security alert from Gmail that a device has been given access to your account.
- You are done!
