Setting up your Blackbaud User ID (BBID)

After you receive the invitation from Blackbaud to set up your Portal account, you will need to create a password and confirm the email address used as your BBID.

What is involved?

After opening the invitation email (subject line "Connect to Sierra Canyon School: Set up your Blackbaud ID for Portal login") and clicking the "Accept Invitation" button, you will be taken to the Portal Sign Up page.
  • You will be asked to choose a password that meets the following requirements:
    • A minimum of 12 characters from at least 3 of the following 4 categories
      • Uppercase letters
      • Lowercase letters
      • Numbers
      • Special characters (!, #, %, etc.)
  • After choosing a password, you will be sent a confirmation email (subject line "Verify your email address") containing a 6-digit code.

  • Enter the code from the confirmation email on the Accept Invitation page.

  • You will be redirected to the Portal login screen.  Enter your BBID to login and click “Next,” to be directed to the BBID Sign In.

  • Enter your BBID and new password and click “Remember my email” so that you won’t have to type it each time. 
  • If you forget your password in the future, simply click "Forgot Password?" to have a password reset link sent to your BBID email address. 
  • You can also select "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Apple" and use your Gmail or Apple ID address to sign in. If you select either of these options, you will be redirected to the respective provider to sign in.
  • You are done!
